Think you have what it takes to be a Civil War solider? Gear up and feel the weight of a Civil War uniform. Examine real Civil War letters and practice your own calligraphy. Explore the Great Locomotive Chase with guided tours of the galleries.
The program is free with paid admission and will be offered continuously throughout the day. Guided Tours will be offered on the hour between 10am and 3:30pm.
LABOR DAY WEEKEND AT STONE MOUNTAIN PARK

This Labor Day weekend, Stone Mountain Park honors the American spirit through a three-day celebration from Sept. 3-5, highlighted by extended fireworks shows. The extended fireworks display will be seen Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights after the park’s famed Laser show featuring songs about working men and women. Vehicle entry to the park is $15 for a one-day permit or $40 for an annual permit.

Bump Day is hosted on the 1st Hump Day (Wed) of every month and is geared toward planning, expecting, and new mothers in addition to their spouses and support system. We have created a safe, fun and enjoyable environment for education, pampering, and more. This event was birthed in order to inform families of the various resources that are available to them through pregnancy and beyond. It is also designed to answer the many questions that are in your head but you don't have any professionals to answer them. Along with the host, Dr. Griffiths, there will be other birth professionals (i.e. midwives, doulas, breastfeeding consultant, etc.) in to lend support and knowledge.
Various topics will be covered - Webster technique, labor support, post-partum support, nutrition, money saving tips, spousal support and etc. Door prizes and Light Snacks will be provided!
